Re: legend spec motor
What would qualify as a legend spec motor? I have a Trinity Monster Horsepower Pro motor... fixed timing, 27t 540 brushed motor, still in it's packaging. Would this work?

Re: legend spec motor
Okay, I'll ask a friend of mine, who used to race legends, and see if mine falls under "spec", or not. For some reason, I'm thinking (I've been known to be quite wrong, when I think) most of the fixed timing 27t brushed motors fall under 'spec' classifications... Like I said, I've been known to be wrong, and I'll ask a former legends racer, and get back, either way.

Re: legend spec motor
Okay... My friend said the only "approved" spec motors for legends cars, were the grey can, like you have, and Trinity Street Spec motors. I wish I had either of them, but the easiest place to look may be ebay. That's where I got my 27t motors... cheap $$, too Hope this helps.

Re: legend spec motor
I am not sure where you race but most racers have spare/excess spec legend motors they will sell you. I would check locally before you buy something from flea bay.........just my opinion.

Re: legend spec motor
You may want to check the track you will running at.A lot of track's are in the middle of a motor transition due to the Trinity spec motors are no longer being made.

Re: legend spec motor
Where I'm not too keen on spec racing, be it pan cars, legends, sedans, etc., where would I get into it, and what kind of investment would I be making? The closest hobby shop, for me, is Granite Liesure Time, in Oakland. I see people selling off their pan cars, there, and don't know if that form of racing's phasing out, there. If the track you'd be racing at is open to 27t motor choice, I'd gladly sell you both of my Trinity motors. Both are the same Monster Horsepower Pro, but 1's broken in, and the other's sealed, and new.

Re: legend spec motor
$20 for both sound fair? I paid $35 for both, and broke one of them in. Where do you live?

Do you race @ Maximus, in York, at all? I'll be there, on Saturday, the 25th. I can bring the motors with me, if you like.
