SET UPS for brushless revo
Hay guys im working on my set up for my revo and was hoping some people would be willing to share what they think is the best set up . I have been told many diif ways to get a good set up and razorburn has been a big help to me. I was hoping some of you racers would give me some extra tips to get ready for the nitro challange.

Re: SET UPS for brushless revo
A setup that works for one doesnt always work for another. Use it as a baseline. Your never going to have the perfect setup IMO. I think your close but I dont think its the truck LOL

Diff
I'm still not convinced on the good of the center diff with my truck, maybe once I get the ESC setup with more managable power I might like it,,right now the truck is like driving a 2000 hp go kart!!

Re: SET UPS for brushless revo
yes, I figured that was you,I just re-programmed my esc ,, cant wait to try it, had 20% drag brake on it !(musta been why it wanted to nose over on every jump),,no punch control (so it went from ZERO to full nukes at 1/4 throttle!!)10 degrees timing!! I got it to where it should be now along with a friendly throttle curvefreelife04239 wrote:ok im the guy that could not finde the spare spurgear and that had the little boston terrier

Re: SET UPS for brushless revo
Ya, I just went out in the driveway and did a bit of testing, still need to calm this down,,tried the punch at 30% and its still explodeing off the line,,just put the punch control at 40 percent gonna go try that,,,I also tried the regular brakes at 30 percent and it wouldnt lock the wheels so I just put that back to 50% I'm still not liking this center diff!!freelife04239 wrote:sounds cool but weard the drag brake was on im doing some tunning on my today but i have to file a clame on ebay for my centerdiff thing is full of plastic shavings and its trash

Re: SET UPS for brushless revo
the guy that sold me the bad center diff gave me a refund so befor i buy a good one ill wait to hear your feed back on yours . I know changing the caster angle (moving all 4 spacer clips to the front on the front arms helps turrning alot) also i changed my shock oil to 60K and wow big diff.

Re: SET UPS for brushless revo
Well I just changed my set up on my esc . I now have my timing set at 7 and a better throttle curve. I also set punch controle at 60%. I think its faster in my front yard cause of less wheel spin and I can keep the front end on the ground . I think im getting more speed in my small yard than I have ever befor I cant wait to see what it dose on a track

setup
Ok after a bunch of testing heres what I ended up with,,,I'm keeping the diff, I have the drag brake set to zero, timing set on low,,default is 10 and lots of people I correspond with that race these say low is the place to have it and I will have to agree, punch is set at 40%,I tried lots of different brake setting because I'm a heavy brake user! ended up with 50% with a linear brake curve, the most important change was the punch and throttle curve here is a pic I took from an online castle setup linkhttps://2img.net/h/i87.photobucket.com/albums/k137/darrajsam/Castle%20link/MonsterThrottleCurveCurve.jpg

Re: SET UPS for brushless revo
Well with the above throttle curve the truck drives much like a Nitro Revo with a ENDLESS topendmtrucker wrote:Ok after a bunch of testing heres what I ended up with,,,I'm keeping the diff, I have the drag brake set to zero, timing set on low,,default is 10 and lots of people I correspond with that race these say low is the place to have it and I will have to agree, punch is set at 40%,I tried lots of different brake setting because I'm a heavy brake user! ended up with 50% with a linear brake curve, the most important change was the punch and throttle curve here is a pic I took from an online castle setup linkhttps://2img.net/h/i87.photobucket.com/albums/k137/darrajsam/Castle%20link/MonsterThrottleCurveCurve.jpg
