Hello,
I have Recently aquired a collection of Vintage Rc's from my father. He build them all when I was a child, and I have been looking at them in his case for years.
Anyways, Long story short, Im now the proud owner of a Tamiya King cab, Tamiya Astute, Tamiya RC10 Gold pan, Grasshopper 2, Great planes Stinger rc boat.
The Rc10 is MINT, and works perfect, Maybe 3 runs on it.
The King Cab worked, however it seemed like the diff was slipping. Upon Further Inspection the gearcase was cracked. It seems I found a few on ebay, and that will be no problem getting my hands on.
The Astute however, is the first version, its not the super astute. It was recently canibalized by my father who ran it into his garage wall and broke the drivers side rear "upright" I think its called. its the last piece of plastic before the rear tire, the connecting rods are attached to it. That is the piece I can not find, Not sure what its called , pretty sure its an upright. I would be very greatful if anyone out there had one laying around.
The Grasshopper has a mechanical speed control that was wrapped by a balloon, The balloon has since turned to plaster and has welded itself to the speed control, so I will be looking into getting a esc for that, and probably an esc to replace the mechanical one in the king cab as well.
The boats mint, Just needed to re-glue the windshield.
So if anyone out there has a Drivers side REAR upright for a Vintage Astute, or a couple esc's xl-5's whatever I would be greatful. I have cash
