First time racer
Hello, I am 20 years old and I have been into RC cars and planes for a good 12 years but I have never raced at an official track. I currently live in Bangor and I can't seem to find any tracks or hobby shops around the area. I am wondering if there are any tracks in the area and/or if any tracks in Maine offer a 1/10th electric buggy modified class? Also, I've got an RC10B3 buggy and its considered vintage now??? Where have I been?

Re: First time racer
The closest track I know of anywhere near Bangor is in Litchfield. Big big track more suited for nitro trucks with huge straightaways and tall jumps, but they do run 1/10th scale SCT's.

That said, the only place I know of who is running 1/10th scale buggies this year is in Casco at Evolution Hobbies. They run a bunch of different classes actually, including beginner racer. That is a long drive from Bangor tho!

Good luck, hope to see you out there this summer!

Re: First time racer
Granite leisure time in oakland would be the closest for you, friday nights they race indoor carpet, and have a few outdoor races over the summer. For week to week racing it would be evolutions in casco, maximus in york or sparetime in litchfield all a long haul from bangor. GLT is running buggies as far as i know when theres enough for a class. I live in newport if you want some one to car pool with to go race
