Re: losi lst2?
I raced one for a couple of years. It is a pretty tough truck with a few upgrades. I enjoyed it. I don't know if any place around here still races MT, but it was fun to bash at a local gravel pit.
I've got three of them in my basement in various states of completeness that I haven't used for 3 something years if you are looking for something used. I got out of the hobby for a while for various reasons and when I started back I got some electric stuff.

What are you planning on doing with it? Racing or bashing? That would help to focus the pros and cons to what applies to you.

Re: losi lst2?
One thing about the LST2 is that it doesn't have a built in starter motor so you need to use a glow heater and a starter wand/drill to get the motor started. For the stock LST2 (at least back when I got it) there were a few things that needed to be upgraded like the steering servos, front knuckles, steering linkage and front turnbuckles. It also isn't as adjustable as some models in that for toe and caster only the front toe can be adjusted, but that makes it more robust and if you are racing a MT it isn't for good driving characteristics.
Good things are its really big and robust and doesn't require much maintenance other than the normal nitro stuff.
lstforums.com (a fan run site) used to be a great place to get info about Losi nitro stuff, but the domain isn't in use any more so I guess its no longer around.

Re: losi lst2?
I've got three LST2's. 2 are pretty much the same. All the engines worked when they were put away, but haven't been used for about 3 years so I'm not going to claim that they work perfectly.
no receiver or radio, but they have all the servos
A bunch of upgrades to the steering stuff I mentioned before.
Reverse has been taken out of the transmission along with flipping some gears for higher top speed.
17 mm wheel hexes so they can run truggy tires.
high capacity battery pack
JR650 steering servos
1 set of truggy tires and I should have the stock tires as well, but they would require putting the stock hexes back on.
The other is pretty much complete I think with radio and receiver, servos, etc.
it still has the stock wheel hexes and comes with a number of sets of tires.
I don't recall if it still has reverse or not.
It has upgraded tie rods in the front along with metal front knuckles. I'm pretty sure this one still has stock steering servos (JR 590?).
Maybe $175 each for the first two and $200 for the more complete one.

If you haven't gotten an email yet then your registered email is probably wrong. Can you click on my handle (lpend) next to one of my posts and pick email and include your email address so I can get in touch with you.
To check and change your registered email click on Profile near the middle top and look at the entry box labeled email address.
