2012 Cumberlandrc offroad season

Hey all, looks like spring is coming early this year! Cumberlandrc will return to the Biddeford Ice arena. We will remain running on Tuesdays. Get your outdoor gear ready.

Hey all, We are planning another track day for this Coming Sunday monring 8am-12..Any one that would like to help is welcome. The track base is already been put done and will be rolled out, So a nice smooth high traction surface.

I want to thank John, Scooter, Ron and Matt for taking on initialing the track work, and getting materials! Thanks for all your efforts. Now that indoor Season in over I can focus on the offroad season.

So far the Track base has been put down and rolled out to a very hard clay base. This track will be like no other we have built. It features a diagnal straight, crossover, and a step up/down section it will a blast to drive. We are building the jumps at this point now. Everything is scaled to accomodate the 1/10 classea which has been the most popularin the last few seasons.

If all goes well we are planning to start the season May 1st (Tuesday).
The Track is located at 14 Pomerleau St. Biddeford ME at the Biddeford ice Arena. As you go into the parking lot the track is located on the dirt parking lot area.

The weekly Schedule will be on Tuesday Nights with heats starting at 6pm, 2 rounds of qualifying then mains.

Classes we are offering this season:
Stock 2wd Short Course
Modified 4wd Short Course
Stock 2wd 1/10 Buggy
If any one wants to run another class for example Stadium truck or 2wd Modified Short Course we will need atleast 3 to seperate into there own class.

We are down to the wire to get the track completed for opening night tomorrow. If anyone can come lend a hand it would be greatly appreciated. We will have a Kubota and compactor there to complete builging the jumps and table tops and put down the pipes. Anytime after 430 today.

The Kubota broke down today. We will manually accomplish by hand what we can tonight. any helping people welcome!

With out bad luck and weather Cumberlandrc would have no luck...Any how with todays rain and the track not yet completed there is no racing today 5-1-12...We are planning another track day for wednesday anyone able and willing to come help would be appreciated!! we are planning to be there around 6pm then.

Well mother nature strikes again. See you all next Tuesday for our Opening night of the 2012 Season

This sure isn't the 1st year it rained alot on Tuesdays! Hopefully next week is a go!! Cheers.

Was able to run a few lap tonight. The track is fun. Still have a little fine tuning to do to the track but it will be finished for next week if it stops raining.

Will we run 1/8 scale buggies this year?

Well it's official. Tuesdays suck for offroad R/C. Maybe we should try on another day of the week, or at least try a different day next season.

Lol, I was kind of thinking the same thing.

We are going to be racing Friday June 1st this week do to the rain Tuesday. Hope to see you all there .

The 1st time in 10 years we rained out 5 straight weeks...so we are running tomorrow Friday heats starting at 6 pm...
