Like an idiot while I was soldering my new Tekin I got careless with the solder iron and melted through the wires that connect the receiver. Aside from soldering them back together and making a big booger job with electrical tape anyone have a nice clean, secure idea?

Your solder and electrical tape booger fix is the easiest and quickest probably. The other thing you could do is use a set of small male and female bullet plugs like the ones used on lipo balance plugs but that's more time and money.

You can also buy the jct connectors and just make a new connection. If you solder them I always step splice them so your splices are not all in the same area, this helps keep the bulk splice down.

Good advice. Staggered splices are always the way to go. Might also want to use heat shrink tubing that has glue inside. Widely available, and makes a water tight corrosion free connection!
