I want to replace the stock 4 AA battery setup on my T-Maxx. I have been looking at a lot of 5 cell hump packs but I really would like to go to a decent LiPo RX battery.

Has anyone else tried using a 7.4V LiPo for a RX battery. I realize I will need a voltage regulator and have been looking at this one. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXVAC6&P=7

Just wanted to know if anyone else is running this setup? Do you like it? and if anyone has had any problems?

you will need a regulator for a lipo , you will burn up electronics if you dont. Alot of the new good radio systems have a build in reg ,
I have 2 lipo rx packs if your intersted one is a smc 800mah with like 3 cycles on it stick shape (revo) and a venom 7.4 2100mah hump style pack brand new as i got it and didnt fit the way i wanted it to.

If you had a spektrum radio, they will handle 9.6 volts, and running high voltage servos you can run them with our a regulator. if you was using a telemetry set up, just don't plug the power cord in the senor out lets by accident, they are only rated for 3.3v.
