Mark your calenders.  Maines first Rally event will take place Jan 19 2014 at Ray & Robbins Hobby center.

I can tell you that there will be 4 heats and 2 mains for each driver regardless of how you qualify.

Kemora/kalihari rally cars only and standard rally rules apply.  Tech will be strictly enforced.

This will be a trophy event.

    More info to come.

This sounds great.  I'll post on our web site and Facebook page.  Let me know more information when you get it and I'll post it here at the track as well.

Thanks Todd, I will have more info after tomorrow's racing.  We have a couple aspects that will make this a can't miss event.  Don't want to let too much info out until John, Ron, and I iron out the details.

    Here is more info.
This rally event will feature two formats.
Racing starts at 10am.  The first format will be off road with two heats and a main.  After a short intermission we will change the track over to a tri oval where we will again run two heats and a main.

Trophies will be awarded in both formats and there will be trophies for the combined overall results as well.

As I posted earlier, standard rally rules are in effect (see posted rules by uncle Ron).  Additionally drivers will be limited to only one car design for both formats.  Both the kalihari and kemora have plus & minus attributes, and drivers that may have both must choose which one they will drive and use only that one for both formats.

Additionally there will be a fresh off road track layout for this event.

Personal transponders will be mandatory as there are very few club transponders available.

Race entry fee will be $20 for each driver.

We plan on having some great door prizes with more info to come.
