Clod chassis and motor setups
Anyone out there running Clodbusters? Looking for ideas for chassis and motor setups. My stock chassis is short for this world and would like to know what other people are running, For now I'm running an EVX-2 and E-Revo Titan 550's and dual 6cell batts.

Re: Clod chassis and motor setups
i did some time ageo
i ran a thunder tec raceing riper chassis http://www.thundertechracing.com/clodbust.htm
2 19t speed geames motors
and a novak super dutey rx esc off 1 pack and the thing would move
or you coud run a clod zilla 4 chassis and a lrp f1 pro esc
any way you go it would be a nice truck

Clod chassis and motor setups
The Clod was the kick-ass truck back in the day. A kid i knew had one that would run circles around my Kyosho Big Boss (back in 1990), I know even with aftermarket chassis they're not the most competitive in an open MT class due to the solid axels and weight. The truck is going to be just for fun and the occasional race inbetween the Slash class heats. Thanks for your information I had questions about the Zilla 4 chassis on how well it worked, Don't want to spend the money for a new Ripper or Terminator if I don't have to.

the first one i had was a zilla and thay work grate that are just a littlte hard to work on as most of the bolts ar on the inside of the chassis but outher then that that are killer.

Clod chassis and motor setups
How much more did your Zilla 4 weigh compaired to the Ripper? Did you run them on an Off-road course or just for bashing? Thundertech hasn't returned e-mails to me regarding the availablity of the Rage or Ripper, I guess there are back orders on the 4 links. Next closed its a CPE Terminator Im just thinking that style chassis might be overkill for what Im going to do with it. I want to get a Low COG and a truggish type of look to it.

Re: Clod chassis and motor setups
Ended up with full ball bearings in the axles, CPE Terminator light weight race chassis, locked out rear axle, and twin Castle Sidewinder ECS with 5700 motors. It should be a pretty fun little truck
