Re: 2010 Maine R/C Series
I belive the only classes are as follows; 1/8 Buggy, Truggy, Monster Truck, Spec Core truck and new for 2010 Modified Core Truck Class 4x4. Due to time constraints, I don't think they will allow any other classes and they dropped the stadium truck for the mod SC 4x4 class.comicguy6 wrote:so if we have 3 or more bajas can we race them?

What a great start for the series
What a great start for the 2010 Maine RC Series. Great turn out and some awesome competition! Thank you Sparetime Hobby, Jim Lawrence and all that helped to get Race #1 in the books. Speaking of Jim, I think a tiny rule change needs to start in affect. My idea is Jim drives blindfolded .......... no, blindfolded and turned with his back to the track ........yeah ........no ....... blindfolded , back to the track and one arm tied behind him ..... yeah that should make things equal!
Hope all had a good time,
See ya in three weeks

Re: 2010 Maine R/C Series
Yeah I had an awesome time as well! It is looking like a bright season for offroad racing
I still can't believe how lucky that guy is in the video not to get his fingers smashed...
A couple of things I noticed from the race...
I saw a lot of close calls with marshalls almost getting hurt yesterday. I also noticed that sometimes the marshall in a attempt to get the crashed truck back on the truck would actually slow down the racer who was behind. It wouldn't be his/her fault that the person in front of them crashed but they would have to pay the price if the marshall decides to run on the track to flip over a crashed truck. Just my 2 cents on maybe something we can cover on the next driver's meeting at Berwick.

Re: 2010 Maine R/C Series
i agree, it was a great turnout. lots of fun.there was some lame corner marshalling, we should address this @ the next race. there was people on cell phones, some dumbass taking pics while he was supposed to be marshalling, in general people not paying attention. very frustrating when you're trying to lay down some good laps . good job jim, see you all in a couple of weeks!!!

Re: 2010 Maine R/C Series
yea i see the guy taking pics while working the corner lol. If you want pics take them on your owntime I say. I used my own time to take this video and i had like 30 min of video. So there is no reason to take pics while your there to corner marshall.
