Truck Pulling
Question... Is there an interest in R/C truck/ tractor pulling? I noticed you guys have a pulling sled, that's been used in the TTC, and was also wondering if it could be rented/ used for testing of a vehicle at the hobby shop?

That was my thought, too. I like the scale pullers, and even the "not so scale" pullers, and was even thinking of using my crawler for pulling. I think it would be an interesting, and fun niche.

I had pretty good results pulling the sled with my scx10 at the TTC. I'd be interested in this scale pulling stuff. -Dan Downeast

Re: Truck Pulling
I'd love to participate in both the TTC, and truck pulling... Would also like to try building a pulling tractor. The scale crawling/ trail running is appealing to me, and I think others may agree, there's something about the scale pulling that's just... cool!

Re: Truck Pulling
Well... I've started building a hauler for my crawler, to serve double duty as a puller. Do we want to start discussing powerplant limitations, classes, or just leave it "open" for 1/10 scale? I'm anticipating a 10lb hauler, powered by a twin motor esc, and 2 titan motors. Any thoughts? Any concerns? Any anything?

Re: Truck Pulling
You may want to look up the rules for the truck pulling and may base some of what your looking to do or start with from that. They have a great format already for truck pulling and would be easier to start there than trying to get everyone to agree to a vary of different rules.

Re: Truck Pulling
Where would I find a solid set of rules? I was wondering, if we could also keep things kinda loose, in the rule department... i.e.- axial stock, tamiya stock, scale truck modified, and open/ unlimited. This way, if you have a custom crawler, like mine, you'd fall into modified, and not face off against a CC-01, or SCX 10, if those 2 are stock, yet all could run in "open". Just looking to start with something fun, and see what kind of interest there is, without saddling the event with oodles of rules.
