need some help with new B4.1
I have a B4.1 RTR that I just started racing. I ran it down to Maximus this week to really poor results! I know these little buggies are tough to drive and require a ton of throttle control but, the rear tires do not bite at all. the thing is stock RTR out of the box with the stock Brushless system. Black springs and 35wt shock oil in rear. gold springs and 35wt oil in front. Proline Calibers on rear. Where to start? Some of the faster buggies are actualy pulling wheelies down the front stretch! Mine just does circle .. little ones!
Any help is appreciated! Thanks

You might want to try J concept Bar codes for tires. The stock tires are made for outside dirt.

Re: need some help with new B4.1
I have heard that a couple of times now ... you think they will make a lot of diffrence? What about shorter camber links in the rear?
Thanks for the tips!

Re: need some help with new B4.1
I go would go on Team Associated Web site an look at some of the factory team driver set ups. I look at a lot of them an find out what is most common to all the an try that.
As far as tires Bar Codes an the Hot bodies are good.
Remember they are a handful to drive it takes a lot of practice. I'm still trying to figure them. But man are they fun Just remember a small adjustment can make a big difference.
Good Luck

Re: need some help with new B4.1
Thanks Ron. I'm going to order up a set of Green barcodes and try that. I looked at some of the set up sheets like you suggested. I'm going to change the positions of the rear camber links and add some weight to the rear of the car. I'll post an update after the next time out.
Are you going to run at Maximus this winter? I'm planning on a couple of times a month, mostly on Saturdays. Hope to see you there!

+1 on the tires. You should notice that the indoor specific tires like the ones mentioned will help you out quite a bit

Re: need some help with new B4.1
Just an update. The tires made a huge diffrence. I also shortened the rear camber links to the most inside hole on the hub carrier. AE Set-up sheets recommended short links for slick tracks. Seems to have helped. The Steering is very slow. I'm going to replace the steering servo next to improve responce and reaction time. At least it is driveable now!
Thanks for the suggestions on the tires

Kevin,
You can run with the other RC10 that has been there the past couple of weeks. I'm about that fast with the B4.1 ... LOL. You could run around the back of the pack with me and the other RC10!

Todd do you have the +8mm World Car chassis upgrade? That would make it go straight and fast too. Need a new shell tho to run that tho.

I Don't have the longer chassis upgrade yet. That will be the next upgrade after the servo. I think its about $40. Good to know the stock body will fit.
