Re: Horizon Asphalt Oval Challenge
If you have not been to the maine jet rally before, this is a great opportunity to race in front of thousands of spectators.
The paved oval is high grip and smooth as glass making for some fast laps and non stop action.
Together with the off-road program run by Maximus and the Oval by CumberlandRc/Ray&Robbins, this will be a must attend event.

Re: Horizon Asphalt Oval Challenge
I may allow them to run with the lm. Would have to be 17.5 motor.
It will get to a point where we are running too many classes.
Trying to get as many racers as possible without watering down the field.
Bring that sprint car out, should be some crazy speed!!!

Re: Horizon Asphalt Oval Challenge
After much discussion it has been decided that there will be no motor or tire limit in the sprint or 2wd late models.
Additionally if you do not see a class that fits for you let me know we will fit you in to an appropriate class. Rally, legends and 2wd buggies are all welcome.
I will be running rally, sprint, and 2wd lm buggy. So let's get ready for some oval action.
Friday racing starts at 7, practice available at 12.
Saturday racing starts at 10.
Be prepared for 1000s of spectators, high flying air shows and lots of race action. It will be an event to remember. Hope to see everyone there!!

Re: Horizon Asphalt Oval Challenge
Folks, I erred in my above post, 2wd lm was always a 17.5 class and will remain as such.
Sprint and 2wd buggy were always open motor and will remain.
We will work to place people in the appropriate class.
I am certain that all that run these 3 classes have the motors to fit into these rules.

Re: Horizon Asphalt Oval Challenge
Thanks to bill and Brian for putting on a really show show. It was great to run under the lights. Made me a really big fan of running on a pavement oval.
