SLASH 4X4 DRIVERS
Not sure how many of you have seen this yet but this looks like an excellent product to remedy the weak spot of the stock motor mount/bearing that many slash 4x4 owners have experienced problems with. Just ordered mine tonight, will hopefully have it in a week or so and Ill let the rest of you guys know what I think of it. So far it has got excellent reviews by people on the Traxxas forums and everyone cant say enough about their customer service.

Re: SLASH 4X4 DRIVERS
Hey while we are talking about nice upgrades, found this and installed it...a slipper nut cover that helps cover up the center drive shaft if you are running the protective cover, like what comes with the slash 4x4 PE.

I'd give it a 4/5 stars...the only drawback is that there is still a small hole where dust/rocks can get in because the motor plate has to be able to slide due to various size pinions. My solution to this was to cut out an "L" shapped piece of lexan, sized to cover up the hole completely. This works perfectly, ZERO rocks/dust can get in now.
For the front end hole, I did the electrical tape around the shaft + shrink tube...and that is also working very well.
Cheers!

Re: SLASH 4X4 DRIVERS
One of the best upgrades I've done thats increased drivability A LOT with my PE 4x4 was to install a set of rear big-bores on the *front*. The stock short big-bores are WAY too small, and no matter how thick the oil you fill them win, they are too soft and springy because the inside hole you have to mount on gives too much leverage when tires hit bumps.
With the rear big-bores, you have to offset the top & bottom with the spacers that come with the shock set (used the 1-hole shock piston dampener as a spacer on the bottom), since the angle causes it to bind otherwise, and you also have to install about 1/8th inch of fuel tube inside the shock if you run swaybars (since they limit the travel of the A-arms).
But once they are setup with thick oil and nothing is binding, its a MAJOR upgrade. I have no problem hitting jumps squarely and level, and stops the bouncing down the straightaways.
