I just posted something real similar to this in another area. DISREGARD.. What are the rules for "stock" ? Can you run any type of battery? You must be able to use any type of transmitter and reciever right? I've been bashing for quite awhile and I think I'm finally ready to start doing some races.. Thanks Guys.

Anyone race in york tonight? The rules seem to be a little ify. Tire softner? and it seems like you can run pretty much any parts you want.. it's cool though. When I go into the corners it seems like my truck is pushing, maybe it's a camber issue? I ran 50 oil in the front and 60 oil in the rear, but I think i'm going to run 60 in the front as well. Anyone have any tips?

usually when a 2wd vehicle pushes going in it means that the front is too stiff compared to the rear(or rear too soft compared to front) I would go with a thinner oil up front in the shocks,,I think they come with 35,,try 50-60 in the rear and 40 in the front,, or go back to stock oil in front with 40-50 in the rear. another thing that will give it more steering is to raise the rear ride height a bit,,maybe ad a couple clips on the shock to raise it up there are tons of cures for a push going in, just dont make too many adjustments-changes at once Very Happy if you plan on going to york and race dont worry about the rules,, go down and race have a good time and if you get beat because of equipment then deal with it after,,A good driver beats good equipment every time!!! cheers

on the pushing issue in the corners try sanding your tires. we were having that issue and we sanded tires. if i were u go lighter with oil. i had run 60 weight and was doin horrible. i went with 35 weight and gained 4 laps and faster times i find that the softer u go the better. by the way what truck was yours? mine was the spider man truck.

I've been getting ready for Wednesday night at Maximus. I've put some TRX aluminum on my front end, and played with my suspension. I have a couple other questions.. I have some TRX wheels with the stock tires they come with, can I use them? Could I use any other tire and wheel combo's? I have some RPM brand A-arms and transmission cover, can I use those? Is it legal to shave the body down around the wheel openings? Thanks for pointing me in the right direction..

We run stock tires and wheels and allow Pargon or Trinity Death Grip to soften the tires. This help with grip on the carpet and less wear on the tires.

As for RPM parts we allow a-arms, gear cover and rear bumper mounts. All other parts must be stock or a traxxas factory hope-up.

As for cutting the body you should be fine.

Hope to see you track-side soon.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was thinking that the Pro-line tire and wheels were going to be allowed. But it doesn't matter I don't have them anyways. Is there going to be a modified slash class at some point? Maybe you already have one and I'm not aware of it..

We are still working on it.....I had to shoot out to Ohio for a few days this week so we lost that time to work on it.

Hoping to get some more time in on Monday night. Although it does not seem like a lot we will have 60-70 hours in before it is complete. Just hope all the work is worth it.....but if all goes to plan there will not be anything like it anywhere in the Northeast!!

With racing on Wednesday we can only take so much time away from home to play with the RC stuff......much more and I will be sleeping on the couch at the track!

The wall jump was perfect.. Really impressive, and a ton of fun.

So What happens after the weekly Slash racing points series finishes? Is there going to be another one starting right back up, or is there a different type of truck to run?

I was thinking about the 1/16vxl slash.. do a bunch of people have them?

Congratulations to Ryan Thompson for winning our 10 week points series.

Thanks you to all 45 racers that took parts in our point series. I am having a blast on Wednesday Nights and by the sounds of the racers in the pits they are also.

Lastly, thanks to Traxxas, Thunder Power and Spektrum for the great prizes.
