    This years Howler will be Sunday October 21st.I have had it posted on the 2012 scheduled events on the track website for over three months ,but its time for it to have its own thread to talk about it.
    This race has been a big hit for the last three years .We run the track back wards and have a pot luck lunch.I supply food as well as the racers bring food as well.Its a great race for those who can't get here to race during the race season.Its the last official race of the season.Then we go week to week racing after that,weather permitting.One year we went all the way to Thanks Giving !we will see what happens this year.

    I have canceled the fall point series due to not enough weeks to make it worth wild.
    So,at the Halloween Howler race.Trophies will be given out for 1st-3rd places in the following classes,2wd sct stock and open,4wd sct open,1/10 and 1/8th electric buggy and stadium truck.

    Heath ,the weekend looks good for racing.Now,no more earthquakes.

    racers bringing food this weekend just let me know what you are bringing so we don't get someone else bringing the same thing.
    I am supplying hot dogs,chilli,pizza and soda/water.Heath L. is making buffalo chicken dip.

    The weather looks good for the Howler race tomorrow!! cheers racing starts at noon.
    The plan is to run the first set of heats,then eat.Then finish the second set of heats and the main's. .Some have suggested to do 5-5-7(2-five minute heats and one 7 minute main) instead of 7-7-7(2 heats and 1 main all seven minutes.) tomorrow.I will leave that up to the racers tomorrow.
    Trophies will be given out instead of speed cash cert.(1st-3rd.A-mains only).
    here is a list of food that will be here so far:
    hotdogs
    pizza
    chilli
    plain chips
    buffalo chicken dip w/chips
    mix dessert tray
    bread pudding
    pasta salad
    pasta casserole
    soda and water
    there will be more food here than whats on the list,this is what racers have told me they were bringing so far.Racers can still bring food,the more choices the better!

    See everyone tomorrow!!

    Track is drying up Great .Larry Needle and his wife got to most of the puddles with brooms.The sun is out to dry up the rest.They are out running on it now.
    So the track is that much closer to being ready for tomorrow!!

    We had 51 entries for this years Howler race .Thats a few more than last year.Thanks to everyone who brought food,we had so much food this year.Started to get cool out towards the end but everyone seem to have a great time.
    I will post results and some pictures soon.

    Week to week racing for the rest of the season ,which means good weather and racers to race .we will run.It would be great to go all the way up to Thanks Giving like one year.Watch this forum for weekly updates.
