I would like to make the official announcement about a new track opening in Westbrook, Maine. The track will be a year round indoor facility located at 33 Elmwood Ave. in Westbrook, Maine (Old Prides Corner Bowling Alley). I have secured the building and I'm now in the process of moving my awards business into the site. Once the awards business is moved, we will begin construction on the track. It will be approximately 40x60 dirt off road and dirt oval. We will run 2-3 times a week with one night being dirt oval and the others being dirt off road. We are shooting to have the track completed by the end of October. The track will be high traction clay/loam mix. We will have a large pit area surrounding the track with table, chairs, electricity, raised driver's stand, Cable TV, Live Scoring broadcast on TV and internet (via RC Scoring Pro), free wifi, concessions. Personal transponders will be required. Transponders will be available for rent if you do not own one.
Proposed classes will be - Off Road - 1/10 or smaller classes only, 2wd & 4wd SCT and Buggy, Stadium, SCB, Rookie/Sportsman. Dirt Oval - 1/10 or smaller classes only, Stadium, Street Stock (stock buggy chassis only), Late model and Modified (SCT and/or Buggy chassis), Sprint Car (buggy chassis), Losi Sliders, Legend. Will create a class for 4 or more. If you have a class you want to run, please bring 4 or more and we'll run it. This will be the only continuous running dirt oval in the state!
We will have memberships as well. Memberships will provide you with discounts on races (regular and trophy races), reserved pit space with personalized sign (including spceial VIP area), Personalized perpetual plaque with updates when you win an A-Main event, invites to special member only events, special discount events. More information on memberships as we get closer to opening.
Special awards for fastest lap and track records too!
