Tondreau 180...
I have been racing for sixteen years and I don't know of anyone that would put that much money in a building for people to race a variety of things...When I walked into the building Saturday and the owner said are you ready for this..Yes I was shocked to see what they did inside the building...What did you expect when you got there????
I believe that Kevin and his dad will accommate anyone that comes to race at the track...

comments about the track
This is Bob from Evolution Hobbies, First, congratulations on the new building. Just a few positive comments. You've tried to pack a lot into the building and credit should be given for that. It looks good and if everyone takes a good look they will see that this has great potential for 1/16th scale racing. Both on-road and off road. During the winter months you have given a well lit, clean facility that people can come to and break up the winter. As far as the square track ? Take a look at the other carpet tracks, they are ALL squared of to start with and you layout the course as needed. Give these guys a chance before you make negative comments because as I see it you have not laid out the cash to build a track. Whether it is a dirt track outside or a carpeted track inside, when you can do what the shop owners have done than you can make your claims, until then wait and see, you may be surprised. Once again, nice facility guys.

Re: the track is now open!!!!
Thanks for the good words and sorry to hear some of you guys are disappointed. We just opened this week. We are trying to work on some other stuff to add to the facility. Just looking to have something for rainy weather days and winter.....it is coming. I like the dirt outdoor as well but we decided to go this way to start. We are looking to do some drifting, Pan Car and we are working on building some ramps, jumps and other things for the short course stuff. I have to agree with Bob on the scale stuff, I had a Slider out there last night and had a blast.
We do like suggestions, if you have some drop them to k2@graniteleisuretime.com

It looks like you run dirt and it seems that this track didn't put dirt in the building so you're upset...They do have plans putting in a dirt track...I just hope this dosen't become a big deal about who's going to build the biggest dirt track..
I think its time to put this to sleep...
Kevin,I will be up Saturday the 26th...Hope you have the car ready...Need help on set-up e-mail me...

Re: the track is now open!!!!
Right now we have the new Trackmate System. We had this for the micro T track so we wanted to try it out, the transponders are less then most. We found a rep for it and he has been quite helpful. He stated that they were being used in some New England tracks but he did not give me locations. We are also looking into a back up in the event this does not go over well, RC Scoring Pro, I understand that this system is used in the big tracks and is compatable to the new and old AMB systems. What are the majority of tracks running?

We run the I-LAP infered system which similiar to the Trackmate. We use Laps Free for our computer program .We also did this because it helped to keep cost down and transponders are $40.The I-LAP system has worked great for us.To keep any issue's with lap counting low, make sure that your racers know how to place the transponder correctly to get the best signal to the bridge.A clear spot in the window will work but a hole in the body just above the transponder works the best.
Most tracks run the AMB system ,and we may be switching to the AMB system for next year.RC scoring Pro is just the lap counting software and it one of the best programs.

Re: the track is now open!!!!
The AMB systems are used at most tracks in the state. They are very pricy though($3500). They are the standard system to use at all the big races!

Re: the track is now open!!!!
We were a little hesitant on the AMB, from what we understood we would have had a newer version and I believe they told my computer guy that they do not read the old style, we as well went this route to keep the price down on transponders.

Re: the track is now open!!!!
Are you guys using the AMB as well? Have you heard that the new system requires new transponders? I have not spent much time on this, was an item I left to my computer guy and the ultimate decision was based on the cost of transponders, I was under the impression most guys like to purchase and keep in the vehicle.

Re: the track is now open!!!!
Actually I just purchased the new AMBrc with 10 transponders and it was just a hair under 5K.
And it does read the old transponders.

Is it possible to get the contact info from you on this? I will follow it up with my computer guy, the price is accurate to what he gave me.
Thanks

Re: the track is now open!!!!
Yes we do use the new AMBrc system. We just dont have any handout transponders. Most of the people racing here have there own personal transponders. We rent personals to people that want to use one($

How about the other tracks you have been racing, finding the majority are running the AMB as well?

Re: the track is now open!!!!
Some not all. Maxximun, Team Fasttraxx, Cumberland indoor and ourdoor, Old cedar Speedway, and us use the AMB system. Berwick Speedway uses an old tranponder sustem not sure whick one. Breakneck speedway and Casco use the infered systems. They all work good just not compatable with each other.
