Re: the track is now open!!!!
Just wanted to take a moment to encourage anyone reading this forum to visit the new building at Granite Leisure. A friend and I are novices and have run on a couple of occasions. Kevin and his staff are incredibly accomodating and it is more fun than I could have imagined. As a bonus the food is awesome. I want to thank Kevin for having such a great facility for all of us to enjoy.

Re: the track is now open!!!!
We are located on 85 High Street Oakland Maine
We are strating to get a turnout on Friday evening for Slash. We have had some modified versions of the Slash and we have other short course trucks, SC10, Strike and now the Blitz. Currently Bill and K2 are trying to create a formal structure for race times. I suspect before long we will have enough for separation. email k2@graniteleisuretime.com or bill@graniteleisuretime.com and they can give you a better number of trucks and times. You can also call the store and talk to one of them 465-4505
Thanks

Re: the track is now open!!!!
I will be running, seeing the snow this morning was real discouraging, walking in the place this morning put a smile on my face knowing the winter will not be as long as usual having the place to play

Re: the track is now open!!!!
I got a chance to take a look at the new facility, and as always, I am totally impressed. GLT has continually set the bar with their professionalism and this track is no exception. It is one of the nicest facilities I've been in, and I can't wait to do some racing. The inclusion of bathrooms and a concession stand are also very nice touches, along with the generous pit boxes and drivers' area.
What's the truck count like for the short course guys, and when do you meet up? I'm thinking about picking up a Blitz or a Slash. Maybe even an SC10 because I'm digging the realism of their bodies.

Oh and about Tenn...Motor moving problems and busted a t-plate in the Main...But overall had a good time...Got to talk to Joel for some time..

Majority of vehicles still is Slash some modified some stock, Strikes are getting there and we have some Blits and SC10's.
Friday night is the most popular, stop by and check it out, the guys are all talking to people about preference, no one has really taken a hard stance. I think the Slash just offers so many options, upgrades and easy to get replacement parts that keeps them strong. We did find some alternate parts to use on the Strike and it appears to now hold up better, benefit is the 2.4 radio on this. The Blitz seems to be the best handling as far a stock truck. With the course layout and guys that have been running last week was real funny, had a guy rent a Slash for the night, stock out of the box, he won and he was racing against some hop up trucks.
We also do stadium on Sunday, 12ish is what we are trying to start at, then 4:30 to 5:00 we change the track over and run pan cars.
We are getting a few more here and there, got some Legends going on now as well, I think we had 6 here Sunday and a few guys could not make it, so this is a growing class, I think we have about the same amount in COT & 13.5 now.
Hope the infomration helps, did have a few of the 1/16 scales Slash and Revo's run as well, just got to ease the throttle on the wall bank
Dennis glad to hear you are coming out of the shell and talking about Tenn.

Re: the track is now open!!!!
Hyper drive and KSG are the two common pan cars at the track. Need a little chevy versis ford racing if you know what I mean. All classes of racing are picking up, with newbees as well as old timers returning to race and play. Its very nice to see the old ones return and the new people coming in. The atitude is great here, not all about comp, its so much for having fun and trying new and other vehicles.
